Thanks man!
Well I am actually not going to use the D0VE heads, I was doing more resarch over at 460ford.com and it seems for the power goals that I have, it would cost me more money to use the early heads vs the late heads.
As for a cam I was looking at this cam.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/lun-80460lk

But If I were to use the D0VE heads, I would try to reuse the stock pistons to keep compression around 9.5.1 depending on deck height.

Following your engine build with interest as I'm fixing to do the same to mine in the future. I picked up a pair of C9VE heads to attempt to port
Good stuff man, have you checked out Scott's website for porting instructions, that website is amazing!

What suspension are you going with? I have an 86 with a 302 and I'm about to swap it out with a 460

Loaner, I am about to do a similar build, Do you know if the C6 fit with the old AOD mounts? did you have to Fab anything. I read this whole post, Good job! I did have a few questions...

Do you by chance know the brand of your mirrors?

Also did you buy stock replacement springs or was it DJM brand?

You said the rear shackles were a 2in. drop, is this correct?

Did you ever end up adding more performance to the engine?

What was the point of the F250 sway bar as opposed to upgrading the F150 Sway?

Doing same swap

What about our driveshaft? My dad said I may need to get someone to shorten it. I've never heard of it.

That is affirmative the driveshaft, is actually the easiest part of the swap go to a driveshaft specialist it'll cost you like 200 dollars.

Hey guy's, well life has decided to change my plans. And I won't be rebuilding the engine this year like I had planned. So it looks like it will be on the backburner a little longer. I don't have the time to rebuild it before I move now.

1. The mirror's were stock, off my dad's truck. But I think **** or other brands make the same style for like 30 bucks.

2. I ended up using stock replacment springs Moog #820, I had tried the "heavy duty" spring, but it caused the front to sit way to high for me.

3. Yes the rear has a 2in shackle drop by DJM.

4. The 460, has the basic bolt ons, headers, intake, carb, and msd box. Nothing fancy.

5. Ahhh yes the f250 sway bar, I never did get around to changing that. But My thought process on that was, it was a mucher thicker swaybar than the f150.

I had to get a driveshaft made, when I did the swap.

From what I have found out on this forum, you actually are better off replacing all the front end bushings, upgrade to polyurethane. Change out the steering box with a redhead steering box, and you should be pretty content

Yea I'm sure if all the bushings were replaced, I would be happy with it. But staying with the i beam style front end. It really limits your options.

I want the truck low, like as low when I first got it. And using a crown vic front end, I think would be the best route. Its a better suspension deisgn, also there is tons of options to upgrade, from coilovers to bigger brakes. Plus it changes the lug pattern to 5x114.3, if I remember correctly, which has a ton more options for wheels, compared to the factory. 5x139.

But like I said, I am dreaming. And that would be an ideal set up.

Its the 302 EFI rebuild thread... Its a .030 Overbore, Flat top pistons Heads intake, pretty much the works, I also invested into the Fast EFI throttle body because the stock EFI was crap and restrictive...

Yea for sure. The front has Moog replacement springs #820, the front springs also have Mr.Gasket coil spring compressor's. The shocks are Monroe, I believe I can't remember.

Then the rear has the DJM 2in drop shackle for the leaf springs, Also I believe it has Monroe shocks.

Wheels are 15x8 with a 0 offset. Front tires are 255/60/15 Bf Goodrich and the rears are 275/60/15.

I am sure you can find the coil spring kit somewhere, maybe a local auto parts store has some on the wall. Thats where I got mine.

Sorry about missing the trans question. Honestly I have no idea about the C6 and AOD mounts. I haven't had any experience with that. But I did ask google, what she thinks about it.
