. I've got a 95 ford ranger, v6, 4.0 l engine, manual transmission, and 4x4. The clutch had recently gone out on my truck so I got a new clutch (second time, on lifetime warranty so I didn’t pay a dime)

and got it replaced. Once I got it replaced and got my truck up and running I still had problems. When I would go to accelerate quickly, there was something that was bouncing around so to say. Come to find out that I hadn’t tightened the pressure plate down hard enough, so I fixed that, but something else developed before I fixed it. My truck was bogging down, the only way to get it to “get through” it was to punch the gas quick, but I rarely did that. It would usually work out of it, and if I stayed at speed from 40 and up, I had no problem. But I got the pressure plate tightened back down and it still persisted. I don’t know if it’s something to do with the gas or the transmission. If I let it idle to warm up, the revs will go up and down to a point where the truck will start rocking back and forth. Something else I’ve noticed is that, when I first leave my house in the morning, it’s fine going up my hill but when I get to the top and stop at the sign, I go to accelerate onto the street and I can barely get going because I can’t get the girl to accelerate at all.

I don’t know what to do. I’ve already replaced the throttle position sensor and that didn’t do it. Anybody got any ideas, I’d really appreciate it.

A number of possibilities. Why did you replace the TPS, did it test bad, or did you have a trouble code for it????
If you have a CEL lit, trouble codes are set & most autoparts stores will scan the computer at no cost, so post All code Numbers found, as they can provide good trouble shooting clues.

If no codes, then begin with a fuel pressure & delivery rate check & let us know what you find.

Are you up to date on All past & present due scheduled maintenance replacement items????
Did the problem come about suddenly after some event, or slowly over time????
