Stands?

Thought I'd post this here. What are y'all doing to support the frame when you pull the axles out to service them. Granted my truck is not as big as most of yalls but my stands won't reach the frame on my 69 highboy 4 inch lift and 37" tires without bringing out the car ramps and even then it's sketchy because the ramps don't sit flat. So what do yall do? Do you make them yourselves and if so pics would be great.

I use wood sawhorses. I built these with extra braces just for the truck, sure are handy for other chores too. Scary Pics Huh!

Just a little lol. I read up on your build thread and I think it's pretty interesting, other than that I'm looking for something that is pretty safe. I have to leave the truck at home while I'm gone for college and I go back every now and then to do some work on it, and my Dad flips when he sees the set up i usually do to hold the frame up. Im just lucky i still have the LP dana 44 i can throw under there while i do work on the other axle.

If you can't weld something strong up. You could cut alot of 18" long blocks of wood 6x6. Set two side by side then stack two more on top crisscrossing them until they stake tall enough. Do this under each frame rail. If you ca cut the top row to stretch across both piles as it will help steady it.

jack the truck up, take the tires off, then lower it down on the jack stands.

The engine was out for these pics but 2 kegs will support a 79 250 on 39" boggers completely assembled. I have also used them on other trucks when the occasion calls for it without issue. Im not sure of the crush pressure for a keg but experience would say a helluva lot more than 2-3000lbs each
