rear sway bar?

Hey guys might be a stupid question but id rather ask then assume. I have a rear sway bar on my 92 f150 4x4 and it is very noticable and hangs down under the frame. Im not sure if its normal and it dosnt look like anythings missing or what not the sway bar links are attached and look in ok shape but it is noticable when you walk up to the truck and looks so out of place. Is this normal?

Is this in front of the axle? Some are below the driveshaft or axle housing. Not so good for a 4x4. The Hellwig I had on my '85 E150 went over the driveshaft/pinion. No clearance issues.

If it's all tight, that's probably the OEM (it is OEM, right?) configuration.

i really dont know. I got it like that from the previous owner. It looks like it connects infront of the rear axle with the sway links

Does it look like this? If so, its stock. Mine actually lines up with the tires so clearance doesn't seem to be much of an issue unless you hit a giant rock....which is entirely possible if you're having fun..

I cant really tell 100 percent edgethis but it does look similar. Do you notice it as you walk toward the truck?
