Does GPR have a fuse?
#16
I'm a little slow so forgive me. But I did find the fuses under the hood and I found fuse 24 blown (power distribution box). I'm nervous about how I put back the gpr wiring and need to find out exactly how the wiring goes on the large topside terminal closest to center and the two lower terminals connected to the "shunt" (Calif truck only I guess). The pictures I see on the forum are either for the later models (01,02 which don't have the shunt wiring or are not Calif trucks with shunt wiring). Hopefully, I only blew the fuse and can find out the correct wiring before I try to start it up again. If someone can help me know the correct wires/color that would be great!

There are a couple of pics in this thread that may help: Glow Plug Relay with Shunt - Wiring?? - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com

Thanks all. I found the blown fuse this morning. Put the old GPR in. Figured out the wiring. Started right up. I learned to remember I have a Calif truck and the simple GPR replacement is a little more complicated with that ridiculous shunt. Forget the 109 in Cal. I'll find another and keep her plugged. Appreciate ALL the feedback and it was helpful. Thanks again.

Nothing wrong with the Stancor relays. Much better product.
Also what was ROOT CAUSE of the fuse blowing. My guess would be a near/dead faulty relay.
Would install a real time LED light for your Glow Plug relay so you know for sure when it's active and when it's not. The idiot light on the dash is not a real indicator.
