Where to Buy?

Everyone out there that's using Mobile one diesel oil........where the heck are you buying it?!?!?

I've used Mobile 1 in every vehicle (gas) I own for at least the last 15 years - I don't want to get into the oil wars here, its just personal preference and experience.

I've been trying to locate a place to buy Mob 1 for my diesels and have gotten stuck - none of the big box stores here carry it, and I've checked all of the big auto parts stores and they don't carry it either.

I have a buddy of mine that works at a small mechanic shop looking into whether or not they could order me a 30 gal drum of it from the guy they get their lube's from, but I'd still like to try and find somewhere else to purchase it in case they cant get it or at the very least so that I can get a price comparison.

I have 2 6.0 PSD's (F350 & Ex) and plan to run Mobile 1 fully synthetic 5/40 year round in both, and do my own oil changes.

Thanks for the help!!!

Find the local Mobil (not Mobile) lubricants distributor and order a case. You dont have to buy drums, just full cases of quarts or gallons. A call to ExxonMobil HQ should get you the name of your closest one if you cant find it on the internet.

If no one else in your region is using it, you might be stuck. I tried to buy a particular Pennzoil gear oil and couldnt for that reason. The Shell lubricants distributor had no other customers that used that particular part number. The substitute that met the same specs was a Chevron Delo product.

Having that much trouble finding Mobil 1 TDT? It is in every Wal Mart I have ever been too. Usually around 27-29 a gallon. If you feeling ballin', you can see if NAPA by you can get their hands on Delvac 1. Similar to TDT but IMHO a little more high end, usually runs 35-43 a gallon. Good luck!

Autozone, Advance Auto and etc. If the store doesn't stock it have them get it in. Honestly I never found anything special about Mobil 1. Everytime I used it I've noticed increased consumption. I have the extended performance 5w-30 in my truck now and noticed about 1/3 quart consumption in 3k miles, something I never had with other brands of synthetics.

Caterpillar dealers sell the 5w-40 CAT DEO < Mobil Diesel Engine Oil> if there's a dealer nearby.

It is in every Walmart I have been to, no shortage it is with the rest of the HDEO oils at the end of the aisle. Last I checked it was 27.99 for 4 quarts and 7.49 for the single quart.
