Newbie to this forum
I am an ex Ford Parts Manager, put out of work after my former owner sold his dealership. I worked for the original dealer for 35 years 8 months. Started in the warehouse and worked my way up. Lasted 7 months with the new owner, just long enough for them to get THEIR computer system in place and I was the last of the original managers to be terminated.
I always wanted this body style F-150, so I finally found one I could afford, being still unemployed.
I am glad to be a part of this forum, I have been on many others in the past.

Backup lights feed direct from trans depending on which one you have uses either MLPS or NSS (auto or manual).
Tail lights are direct off of the main light switch, front markers work based on what you stated? if so shows that circuit is working, problem is likely up in front of rear bumper.
Tails and lic plate light powered via brown wire, check for breaks in that wire perhaps where someone hacked in trailer lighting. Unplug tail light harness from main harness, test for power at brown wire at the main harness verify its to that point.
Reverse lights, feed by fuse E engine compartment f/b.
They are feed by a black-pink wire, same as above check for hacked in trailer lighting in front of rear bumper, that is more often then not reason for rear lighting problems.
Some guys cut the wires to tap in wrap with black tape, just doesn't last.

Hey There, welcome to the site...the job story stinks, but hopefully you'll find something out there that you enjoy doing!
Probably the best thing that ever happened to me in my career was to get laid off after almost 20 years in the industry (movie business). It truly gave me the opportunity to find work that I actually like. Best of luck to you-you'll get thru it, I promise!
This forum has a LOT of good people, much more good than bad, it has its know-it-all's, they'll always think they're right so ignore them. It's got members with sage wisdom and great advice-make sure to give them the rep points they deserve. Lastly, it is always good to have a new, knowledgeable member on board, so again-welcome!
