hey well i have a 2000 f150 also and i had the same problem a week ago but with my driver side door. You either have to different problems. 1) your door could be bent and is not sealing or 2) your seal is bad. for me it was a bad seal so i took a a peice of rubber tubing about a 1/8in in diameter and about 4 feet long and stuck inside my seal. the seal on the truck not the door. it splits open and i super glued it inside which opens up the seal more stopped the howling. It worked for me but do what ever you feel is necessary.

in the "old days" the body guys use to flex the door slighty. You roll down the window, put a 2 x 4 in the door jam on the bottom corner, then shove the top corner of the door so it will flex 1/8 inch or so. Then try to close and see if it compresses the gasket better. This assumes the gasket is good and wind is leaking on the top half. Dont push real hard and bend the door, just flex it a little.
