I'm not sure where it ends but yes u can replace as much of it as needed. Just be sure to use the same gauge of wire and ull be fine and make ur connections solid. Us good connectors or solder and shrink tube

Did you unplug you controller and FSS and then try it?

Something seems to be shorting out, if you unplug the connector does th wire still get hot?

I didn't have to go too far , I unplugged the wires off the injection pump and bingo.. no more heated wires and interior glow light indicator works, the solenoid for the glows kick etc. So everything seems to work for the system when the injection pump is unplugged. Does this mean that the Injection pump is bad or just the top portion of the pump (fuel shut-off solenoid) on top of the pump. Is this something that requires any special tools or knowledge to replace? Can I do this myself and where to look for replacement parts if that's an option. NOTE. I did this with the GP controller connected and never tried with it unplugged and pump connected...

The cover has to come off the top of the pump, and if you don't put it on right the motor will rev and rev and rev until you can kill the air to it, or it spills its guts everywhere. IIRC there was a member on here that would PM the guide on how to do it the correct way.
But even for me this might be best done at a diesel shop.

Second thought here. Im going to post a new topic tomorrow about the FSS being shorted and how to change, it may trigger some new responses from ppl who may be able to suggest more in depth info now that I know what it is.

I gotta tell you guys how thankful I am that this site exists and for all the helpful info you have given.. Thanks all for the great help
