Thanks for posting. Someday I would like to do that on my truck. I bet that works great in Salt Lake traffic.

Ha ha... I have to use it selectively. It's not something you crank off without considering the consequences. It's loud!

As long as a cop isn't close. They would have to figure out who has it. That is why I like your set up, having the stock horn. Then with the train horn just one quick push should get other drivers attention. Someone here in Pocatello has one but they use it way to much. It is only a matter of time before they get in trouble.

This just gave me the extra motivation to get mine installed. It's been sitting in a box for months just waiting for me to give it a new home.

Just did a quick search and there's nothing I can find in Utah code that prohibits them by name. I'm sure that there's plenty of opportunity for LEOs to cite for nuisance or unsafe behaviors though.

Horn Blasters dual horn. Wolo makes some nice classic train horns that are cheaper.

I still don`t get the appeal of a train horn??? An air horn like the big rigs would be cool. Train horns IMO are right there with the large dangling sacks you see alot of tools sporting on there trucks. No offense to those with the sacks or horns

They're mostly for smiles. Case in point. Today, at a funeral, the family was all together in an appropriately somber mood. When it was over and family was was breaking up to go home, some of the young cousins start making the trucker honk-your-horn arm gesture. I did, everyone jumps, everyone laughs and everyone smiles for a minute.

Does everything have to have a practical application? Nah...
