L & the LN:

Most of what you will find if you search " F series" is pickup trucks. The F series also extended to the top of the medium offerings, and the later F650-750 extend in the low end of heavy duty trucks, with GVW's over 26000 lbs..

Lot of differences between the series.

F and L are completely different.
L and LN are similar, but still different..
L has a longer hood. LN short hood. Both spec'd up to 55K
LN's are nice for city / tight space trucks. Can steer well, and good visibility. The LN was probably why the t800 was built?? I have a LN9000 dump truck, and I love it. Only trouble is the guys at Ford and their power steering department thinking power steering pumps should be belt driven.
