That'll be a nice truck once you take care of the rust. What happened to the factory Alcoas? Those are awesome wheels!

Well the tires on them were almost completely bald and i found these wheels with the tires on them at the carlisle swap meet in april for $250 and couldnt pass it up. When these tires need replacing i might go back to the factory wheels. They were also really starting the look bad. Id probably get them polished or re-chromed before i put them back on.

Got some new shoes! Went up to 285 75's. Like this look better. Rust work is still in the plans, just dont know when yet. I still wanna fix my stock alcoas, but dont know how yet. Pretty disappointed with the front hub covers i got last year. They are already pretty rusty.

And right there is why you do NOT buy chrome. You buy STAINLESS

Yeah lesson learned. You would still think a chrome center cap from american racing wheels would last more than a few months before getting all rusty.

Dang, man. Yours is almost the twin to my 96. When you did the shackle reversal, how much lift did it give you, approximately? I am going to do that to mine, with new springs and the block that Brad suggested...

The truck may be done for good. Have to see what the insurance does, but the front frame horns are bent from the RSK cross member collapsing in. If nothing else, i have some a motor and some axles for some future hot rod build.

That sucks. It is totaled by insurance company standards.

the radiator support is done and you can't find them, on top of the other damage

Dang dude. Hate to see one of these trucks looking like that. Insurance probably will total it, as Brad said, with the frame damage and so forth.

Wait until the insurance totals it, then buy it back for whatever. That honestly doesn't look bad. Did it get pushed back into the engine, or is all that ok still. I have a frame guy who could pull that back for under $500 easily. And have it done right.
I say find yourself a good frame guy and get a quote. It is salvageable. Cut the rsk crossmember and let the frame guy pull it without that interfering.
