97 Powerstroke gauges quit
Hey guys,
So the weirdest damn thing happened today. When I hooked up my bezel after doing the head light switch install I must have disconnected one of my wires to my kc light switch, right below my wts panel. I have four switches there and have identified them, the other two I've got no idea as they appear to have no function. Anyway I was cruising and hit a back road and hit my kcs to light up the road and the switch didn't work, so then I figured out the fact that I must have unplugged it during reinstall of bezel. I pressed the others to see if they worked, and I got to one of my last switches and it instantly killed my tach, amp gauge and oil pressure gauge. They instantly swept off. I clicked switch on and off and they didn't return, I have odo and speedo for sure and I think coolant and fuel gauge, although I can't tell on those as they don't move much.
I shut my truck down and turned it back on and the same condition exists.
So I am looking to see what in the hell could be going on. My first assumption is a fuse(#17 looking likely based upon my book...), but I've got domes, speedo, odo, as well as cluster illum. Second, why in the heck would any type of auxilliary wiring be tied into the gauge circuit?
