4X4 question on 1998 Expedition, again

Ok so now for whatever reason/s 4 high doesnt work, when turned on, it brings the truck to a stop when switch while moving and yes at a very low speed. When I use the A4WD function, there seems to be no issue/s, i hear no unusual noises, feel nothing odd. What should i be looking at to fix this.

When you say you "use A4WD" what does that mean? A4WD doesn't actually engage 4WD until it detects wheel slip, so unless you are doing something to force wheel slip, A4WD does nothing different than 2WD. Sounds to me like your shift motor isn't working.

When in A4wd mode, when rear end slips/spins, I get power up to the front axle with no problem but when turned to 4 high, something brings the truck to a stop and when i try to move it, some disturbing sound is made.

That is very odd - the AWD is engaging 4Hi but when you try to do it manually it stops you in your tracks. Doesn't make sense to me. Have you tried cycling it into 4Lo?

Try backing up a bit. sometimes mine doesn't engage/disengage unless I back up a bit.
