na you just have a case of those long winter blues spring fever will fix that and a mod motor swap is just the easy way out...i am a fan of the 460 to got one outa a 70 town car 365hp put it in my old 66 half ton that old truck became a porsch killer dam fast just keep us up on the job there a a bunch of us that are interested

im wanting a 300 straight 6 but i dont have one yet, so its looking like 6.9 diesel or 460 still since i have them.

 

my brother in law had a 300 6 in his 88 or 89 F250 w a 5 spd manual back in high school..... That was one torquey truck in granny gear!!!! you would have never thought it was a 6

 

Wow, I have never seen an NV271 case grenaded that badly.

If you want a diesel, go with the 7.3L Power Stroke. The 6.9L and 7.3L IDI (non-turbo) engines were not very powerful.

 

I have a few idi engines and love there power and simplicity

 

Hello i an new to this site , enjoy reading what u all post & look at it as an place to seek info . I have a 2000 super duty diesel & just purchased a 1999 super duty with 5.4 for my daughter but it is gona need some work but i do believe i can get it going if i can get the parts , it had a slight fire under the hood & damaged all the wiring harnesses , fuse box , power steering reservoir , air intake & smog canister . But other than that the truck is in great shape . I also just got word today that i could get another super duty that has a bad V-10 , i thought this truck might be a good candidate for a 5.9 Cummins . I really like these trucks & the body style 1999 through 2003
