So I feel this every once in a while. I will be going down the highway and if feels like the truck kind of jerks back while going down the road. The RPM's never change or anything. Didn't know if it was in the overdrive in the tranny or the torque converter. No codes are being thrown eather.

As LSAtexan was saying, it sometimes takes quite a bit of legwork to resolve the issue. A scantool is very handy for 6.0L troubleshooting. Also - watch your rpms when it jerks - see if they jump around. Jumping to the assumption that is tranny related (especially without the tow/haul blinking) can get expensive.
Just wondering how the icp and ipr make the jerk when the RPMS dont change. This will be a new learning expereince for me.

First, I clearly didn't catch the "no change in rpms" - my mistake/apologies (even had two chances at seeing it). Second the way he says it "kinda jerks back or cuts back" (or especially "cut-out" as the thread titles says) doesn't indicate a highly noticeable effect anyway. It is possible to have a jerk that is felt, but not that noticeable on the tach. That is the way my truck acts when tuned, but not when stock (more of an issue w/ HPO pressures or injectors IMO, so I start by looking at ICP and IPR). These tranny's are highly reliable and (as said before) w/ no indication of a tranny code (tow/haul blinking) it is unlikely that that is where the issue is (my main point).

I agree with this^^^^^^

Even if it was going in and out of Tourque converter lockup that shouldnt make it Jerk. Not at the speeds the problem has been reported anyway
I dont think it is doing that anyway cuz you would see the RPMs react at the time of the Jerk action

ICP or IPR or injector ect...... more likley and that may cause a cylinder misfire which could feel like a jerk and you wouldnt really see a single cylinder random missfire affect the rpms either BUT you would FEEL IT..

I checked out that scan gauge and it reads diagnostics correct??? My watchdog from bullydog has the diagnostics feature as well and when I switch to it it says none found. I am thinking of just heading to the ford dealer this week as they said for $65 bucks they would hook it up to the computer and drive it and figure out what was wrong.

Does the "jerk" go away when the truck warms up to full temp? If so I'd say injector problem. Otherwise one of the first easy things to check would be the EBP censor and tube for crap buildup as this causes all kinds of wierd problems. I hate to say this, but could be a harness issue too.

Headed to the dealership today to have it hooked up to the computer and figure out the issue. Talked to the tranny guy this morning and he says it sounds nothing like anything in the powertrain so that is a good thing and thanks for the help on here as well guys. Will post up what it was when I get back!

Well just got back from the ford dealer without the answers I wanted. They ran it about 60 miles and no codes were detected. But we did find that when the module was on the feeling I felt happened but when the module was off it didn't happen. So I am going to check my connections to my can bus lines and make sure they are solid. Glad it wasn't anything major. The nice thing also is they had about 2 hours of driving it and checking the computer. In the end they only charged me $40. I was very happy with that.
