Iam sure this topic has been beat up,but I want to put a muffler on my truck. Iam aware it will never sound like a v8. But what do you guys recommend for a decent toned muffler,semi aggressive but still able to hear yourself think. Only thing done to my truck is a cheap cold air intake,everything else is stock. Thanks for the help guys.

 

i have a set of SLP loud mouth resonators and a set of magnaflow high flow cats..and i love the sound..

 

can get all of that for about $175..then find a shop to throw it on for about $60 in stock location.. more $$$ if you want the whole duals out the rear, chrome tips etc..

 

A FM 50 SUV, big block, or 70 big block muffler will sound good without driving you nuts from drone. I have a 50 SUV single inlet/dual 2-1/2" outlet with 18" tips. Sounds really good I think.

Either one of those would work fine however for a "semi aggressive" sound the Flowmaster 50 HD or SUV would be closer. The larger big block mufflers are not what I would consider semi aggressive. The 50HD is louder than the 50SUV and the SUV will be better at controlling drone. I would lean towards the 50SUV for you. The single 3" pipe is more than fine for the engine no need to change it but you can if you desire.
