Ignition Problems again

Problems again!
The truck is a 1991 F150 Auto Transmission 4x2
We switched the actuator, it was partitally snapped but still held so we changed it anyways. But when we got everything put back together the problem consited.
Problem: Doesn't want to stay running unless you hold the key. IT also turns off if you grab the steering wheel getting out of the truck. It will run all the accesories but you have to find the "magic spot" which seems to be about 2/3 of the way to turn on just the accesories.

I need help soon because I have to get the oil pan switched before spring. I don't like oil all over my yard and garage.

Thanks,
Alex

I think you can slide the ignition switch(the actual electrical part at the front of your actuator) back and forth some to adjust the working of your switch. If everything else is OK that should solve your problem.

It could also be that the switch is going bad or is dirty, which may have helped the actuator break, and is why its so sensitive to position. Just my .02

Can you explain in more detail on how to do this? It looks like new wiring has been put in the steering column by the looks of the wires. Just thought I would mention that. I also picked up a fuse type thing that is supposed to go in the steering column.
