Possible throttle issue?

About a 1/4 mile after I pulled out of the driveway this morning it seemed the truck was going slower, then it blew a ton of white smoke out the tailpipe and the gas pedal wasen't working (no response, no RPMs). I pulled into a driveway, threw it into reverse and the truck was fine after that, and its had no issues since then. I'm puzzled. Any ideas?

Mine does that when its under id say 25 degrees out when the truck is cold if I dont let warm up more than 5 minutes. Ill pull out and make it about 2 blocks and then no throttle response at all and feels like some of the injectors either shut down or load up, whole truck shakes and smokes like a pig. I Make sure i warm it up now lol. id like to know what thats all about to.
