wiring kit for 52 f1

I have been looking around to see if there was a one stop kit anybody made to totally rewire a stock truck. Anybody used the generic EZ kits with much luck? just looking for a little direction from somebody who has done this project. I would like to go with the oe style cloth covered too. I know its expensive but I like the way it looks.

I don't know of any suppliers that put them all in one box. I've used the stock harness from Sac Vintage Ford in my 48. I have a dash harness for my 52 that I haven't installed yet....but looks similar the the 48's.

Dash harness, body harness to tail lights, crossover taillight wire, headlight harness, headlight crossover wires, temp wire, horn wire, charging wires, etc

I think they do it that way so you can replace only what you need to - unfortunately by the time one of these trucks needs part of the harness replaced, it all needs done. The cloth covered sets look great and the colors correspond to the shop manual to make connecting it a breeze.

I don't believe that there's a one complete kit out on the market. Several separate kit sections make up the entire truck. You'd need to purchase them separately to make one kit.

Below is just a sample of what's needed for a 52 from Rhode Island Wiring. They make OE style wiring kits.

1952 FORD TRUCK Series F-1 through F-6
1. Headlight Bucket Wires [pair] 56.00
2. Parking Light Bucket Wires [pair] 9.00
3. Headlight Crossover Harness 46.00
4a. Dash and Engine Harness [6cyl] 451.00
4b. Dash and Engine Harness [V8] 457.00
5. Temperature Sender Crossover Wire [V8] 6.00
6. Coil to Distributor Wire [low tension/V8] 3.00
7. Horn Relay to Horn Wiring 18.00
8. Horn Button Ground Wire 6.00
9. Fuel Tank Connector Wire 16.00
10. Dome Light/Switch Harness 66.00
11. Dome Light Door Switch Harnesses [opt./pair] 32.00
12. Heater Blower Switch Feed Wire 5.00
13. Cigar Lighter/Light Harness [opt.] 34.00
14. Body Harness [114"W.B.] 120.00
15. Taillight Crossover Harness [opt.] 47.00
16. Taillight Bucket Wires [each] 9.00

Rhode Island Wiring kits are a bit pricey, IMO. You should be able to get everything you'll need (or close to it) from the various repro parts vendors. I only used RIW once when I needed to buy a wiring kit for my Chrysler. I bit the bullet and spent the money ($500). They were the only ones I could find that made the kit for my Airflow.

Boy, I guess so! $47 for the taillight crossover?! That's like 5 ft, 2 wires. But if you are doing a concours resto, that's the place to go.

I bought my dash harness from Mac's......they are made by a company in OR, excellent quality and fit.
I wired the head and tail/brake lights myself from single wires.....pretty simple and saved some money.
This is the first old truck I've had where EVERYTHING electrical works!!
