firewall reinforcement plate...

Checked the dealer today...so Terrapin is the only source? Really hate having to wait on it and I'd much rather spend $15 than $34...just figured I'd ask to see what my options are. I only need the small plate...

Tallapoosa Ford in Alexander City AL shows one in stock on the parts locator.
Dunno if that's close to you or not.

The bigger plate is really worth the extra money...... the little plate doesn't do much.

Hell, the maker of those plates has a small factory on in his own truck, and his firewall is still cracked!

Alex City is about 45 minutes from me...but I can't get off work in time to get it. Guess I'll probably just order the one from Terrapin. And John, yes I imagined the bigger plate was worth the money...I just need something now, the crack is small and I don't really have $100 to spend on it right now. I guess I could buy the bigger plate later and just the tiny plate now. How much more work is involved with installing the bigger plate?

Yea but I'm probably gonna go with the small plate or make my own. I just don't have $100 to spare right now and I need the plate ASAP. I have to drive my truck daily and I don't know how long the firewall is gonna last.
