79 f250 lowboy 6 inch lift?

hey everyone, ive been doing some work to the truck and ive been shopping for a lift now, i want 6 inches of lift and i was wondering whats the best way to do this being the most price efficient, i found some block kits and heard about shackle flips but wouldnt know how to go about it, let me know what you think how i should go about it. think cheap no body lifts though

Block suspension lifts are ok. I have one on my 79 but I am thinking later on I am going to go get some add-a-leafs to it and remove the blocks.

I've heard that 99-04 front super duty springs will give you about 5 inches of lift

Never use blocks in front! You should have a factory block in the rear. I used the Skyjacker 6" system, it's all 4 springs and does retain the factory rear block. Front drive shaft needed to be lengthened and I also had to use a drop pitman arm, drop drag link and a steering arm spacer to get my steering right but it was all worth it. Now i just need a step to get in it

A bad idea IMO thats what, just go with drop pitman arm and a adjustable steering link.

Or even better do a cross over steering, but that is more $$.

Extended steel braid lines are a good idea and don't forget the axle shims.

36's on it here.......

Sounds like you might need the rearend backlash checked......I would think a little slip spline wear would not make a loud clunk, but a R&P issue would.
