Nerf/side step up bars for Excursion

There are many options when it comes to nerf/side step bars for the Excursion. Anybody have any pics a nerf step upgrade mounted on an Excursion? I would like to tear off the stock side rails and add some chrome nerf bars. Been looking at something like the ones on Cary's wife's Excursion:

or these:

I swapped out the running boards on my F250 with a set of OEM side steps purchased out of the classifieds here at FTE.

I didn't like the aftermarket versions for my truck because there were only two mounting points on every aftermarket version I could find. I much preferred the look of the 3 point mounts the OEM version uses.

I dunno if the aftermarket versions for the Excursion are the same way (two mounting points), but if they are, and that bothers you, stick with the OEM setup.

It's ok I guess.

The question is, do YOU like it?

Not sure yet - I like the look, but the Excursion is 12 years old and not sure if I want to go new or find some used ones off of a Superduty. I will probably be patient and look around for a while and wait untill after winterto decide --- and the snow & salt crud is done for the year.

Sorry to raise an old thread.. Does anyone have the part number for the OEM tubular nerf bars? I've got the traditional running board on my "new" 05 Excursion and want to make the change.

Another thought/question was whether or not any of the new oem oval nerf bars on the new super duties would fit?

Thanks!

side steps from a 2014 f250 crew cab will work on a Excursion right? I think they are like the ones in that first pic in this thread.

yes any crew cab step bar from 99-15 will bolt right up and look correct. molded boards are a little short.

i could not find new SD boards so i went with aftermarkets by a company called Luverne. so far i've been very happy with them.

I like how those sit up a little closer to the truck. They also look a little longer then the f250 boards. Nice!
