No more gold....black now!

So I got tired of the gold cladding so I decided to change it to semi gloss black!

Looks great!

I just picked up a white 05 EB X and i plan to do something similar to get rid of the tan on the bottom.

Looks good, love the wheels! How do you guys think black wheels would look on my tan X?

Yes, the metal portion and the plastic on the bumpers were gold (tan). I used Krylon fusion on the plastic on the bumpers, and regular rustoleum semi gloss black on the rest.

That black and white combination looks great. Better, I think, than the original Ford combination.

I would bet that the black trim combined with Toreador Red would also be stunning.

Congratulations on a job well done.

I might have to copy your idea on mine. The problem is that once I start painting stuff I can't stop. I painted the grille black on my '97 F250HD XLT and a few months later the whole truck was black. It looked sweet though.

Here is the progression...

I have been thinking of how awesome it would be if I sprayed the entire Excursion with Rhino liner...

Thanks for the compliments! It's hard not to get carried away, now I am wishing the interior was all black. That will take a little more work though!
