I'm pretty picky when it comes to women. Especially if I plan to stay with them for any time. Probably not the best thing but I'd like to have a women I'm going to enjoy being around and visa versa over some dine and wine broad who couldn't give 2 *****s about me.

Well, I think its time to dredge up an old thread. Updates for the bronco? I drove it recently, the battery is shot, when I turned it off in my neighbors driveway to move the mustang, it wouldnt start.

It gave symptoms that the battery was dead, we tried jumping it with a van but that didn't work. I swapped batteries and it fired up but there was a pretty bad tapping. Theory suggest, it could be the lifters. The truck has been sitting for a long while so it could be an oiling issue.

After I get a battery I'll check it again, after a recent truck meet for my chapter, I've decided to do a Hydroboost. Ive seen it in a guys truck and it doesn't look too bad, I'll pick up a junkyard booster, and get new everything else.

Other news, I got some slider windows for the cap. I paid 150, and I'm hoping they will fit. Im not sure how they line up but its a bit strange. Anyways, if I can get the picture to load, I'll show it.

EDIT: it sent 2 but whatever.

I'll install those windows for ya. I'm just going to need Rich's help. And for you to turn your back for a minute.

On a side note, how bad was the tapping in the engine? I mean dead battery, won't take a jump, could it be a shot alternator?

Did you get the gaskets for those windows?
If not they are worthless, unfortunately the gaskets are no longer produced, you have to find a set of used gaskets in good shape.

I have a set that I am not sure if I will use, I need to repair the wing studs and one of the frames is slightly tweaked.

Hmm, I did not... however, I planned to get a whole new top (used) to try putting them in. That way if I mess up, which I probably will, I still have a good top. Worse comes to worse, I'll follow GS92 and make a bikini top. I dont really know much about these windows except that they are pretty rare. I have to look at them again, I couldnt really figure out how they'd go up in the top.

EDIT: for the tap, it was a lot louder than my exhaust leak. However, its got old oil and has been sitting for a long time. In terms of the battery, its possible its the alternator, or the ground, or anything else. But I know for sure it needs a battery.

Once you have the right gaskets you will see how they fit. The track is wider for these windows, the regular gasket will not work. All you need is the correct gaskets which is easier said than done unfortunately...

Hey bud, yeah I've been slacking.. I haven't really done anything. Last update was for those slider windows. Which were a useless buy. I was trying to sell them but never got anywhere. Otherwise, the old gal is just sitting there. I picked up a 1998 f150 to try a quick flip. Its a nice truck. I've also got my mustang but with this pickup I haven't really done much with either.

I've been working on buying a house, that would hopefully allow space to tear into the bronco. Maybe get the brakes done.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer but I'm actually looking to pawn these off on someone else. I decided against replacing my windows and instead will wait for a soft top to be made. My top is nice and my windows have a nice dark OEM tint. It just needs to be cleaned and repainted. I haven't tried very hard to get rid of them, I almost had a buyer but they stopped contact. I've also got hooker headers that don't fit that I've been trying to get rid of.

Well, I guess its time for this thread to fade away into the archives. I've started a new thread for TGM. This one was getting too long. Here's a link
