4.6 3 valve tuner?

If you're buying a tuner for MPG, you're wasting your time and money.
If you're buying for improved driveability, better towing, more hp and torque, and possibly (very slim chance) of better MPG, then you have two real good choices - Gryphon (re-badged Edge from Power Hungry Performance with custom tunes) and SCT XCAL3 with custom tunes.
Both will deliver the same approx. hp and tq increases. The Gryphon also has real-time gauges.
Unfortunately right now I can't recommend the Gryphon (I have the CTS) as PHP has a lot of customer service issues (three person shop and the wife of the owner is very ill).
I would strongly recommend you contact Mike Butler at 5startuning.com (or you can PM him at formdb) and discuss an XCAL3 with custom tunes.
BTW, the search tool is your friend:

I have read allot of your post concerning programmers, being new to both programming and Ford trucks. I would like to know if reprogramming the computer would correct what I think is a problem.<o></o>
<o></o>
I bought a used 2010 F150 4.6 V3 SCAB, stock with no Modifications. I like the truck for overall drivability until I hooked up to a 8000 pound trailer. It towed it very easy and had no problem with acceleration or stopping. What I did get was the feeling that the transmission was in guess what I'm going to do next mode. This happens in both tow/haul and out although it seems less evident in normal mode. When staring on a level surface it may shift right without bogging down the engine. The next start off it may to soon bogging down the engine or not shift until 4000 plus RPM's before it shifts. ETC... <o></o>
<o></o>
I've only had this truck for about a month, so I'm not even sure if it is a problem. My Ford dealer checked it out, for what is worth. I was told that the transmission is "learning" the shift patterns. <o></o>
<o></o>
I tried to be constant with the throttle and the brakes, turned the sway control off, and do not consider high shift points excessive on any upgrades, But once up to speed it stays in high gear. The shifts are firm and do not feel like there is any slipping. Assuming that there are no mechanical problems, would a programmer help this issue?<o></o>

I can't say specifically for your above issue SGPI but I do know that with a SCT SF3, you can adjust the shift points yourself if you needed. Shift points by rpm and also shift firmness are user adjustable options.
Do you notice it bogging down at a certain gear or is it consistent across all gears?
