F-350 front axle swap ?

F-350 front axle swap ?
Will the front axle assembly out of a 1956 F-100 bolt up in place of my stock 1956 F-350 axle assembly?
going 1/2 ton.

I have heard the spindles are the same on 48 to 52 f1, f2, f3. If this is so you could just get a disc brake kit and bolt it on or move the f100 drums and backing plates over. I am sure someone will chime in shortly, I would think they would be the same.
