That would work, I just gotta find a switch that works, I cannot believe no one has them that I can find.

How would you take one apart anyway?

I would be interested in the one that you have, how much wold you sell it for?

Someone in my truck's past life had gotten under the dash and really messed up the wiring on her, what is not worn out, the wiring is a mess.

How do you take one apart, I am looking at mine right now and I do not see a way to take it apart without damaging the switch even more.

Bill W,

The Ford part number on my switch is C3TB-178553, I don't know if it is a one speed or two speed as it has not worked since I got the truck a sort time ago. Would a two speed work if the original one was a one speed?

windshield wiper switch part number

The correct number is C3TB-17A553-G, I misread the number the first time, this number is correct.

This is NOT a part number, it's the ID ENGINEERING number marked on the part itself, and its suffix is missing.

There are NO Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just ID Engineering or casting numbers...when applicable.

(sigh) Since the numbers suffix is missing, how can you say that?

There are FIVE different C3TB-17A553 ID ENGINEERING numbers:

C3TB-17A553-A .. C3TB-17A553-B .. C3TB-17A553-E .. C3TB-17A553-F.. C3TB-17A553-G

These ID ENGINEERING numbers cross reference to THREE different wiper switch part numbers.

Marked with ID engineering number: C3TB-17A553-G = Ford part number: C3TZ-17A553-G .. Single Speed Wiper Switch-5 terminals (Motorcraft SW-722) / Obsolete

Applications: 1963/66 F100/600 & N600 / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

A year or so ago, FTE member 65GH needed one of these switches. Just like today, no one had any

After some research, it was determined that C3UZ-17A553-C (1963/66 Econoline single speed-5 terminals/marked C3UB-17A553-C) will work in place of C3TZ-17A553-G.

There are 5 of these switches available NOS / If interested, will type the sources.
