Assuming that it is this one:

D7TZ-8146-A .. Fan Shroud / Marked on upper left (drivers) side corner: D7TA-AA / Obsolete

Applications: 1977/79 F100/350 & 1978/79 Bronco 351M/400 with Xtra Cooling & A/C radiators, without Super Cooling Radiator.

Since the truck does have a/c. It is also an automatic if that makes any difference. Unfortunately no shroud to go look at and see how it is marked. Is there anyway to measure the thickness of the radiator to determine if normal or Xtra Cooling? Thanks,

Thickness doesn't matter, the following does:

Standard, Xtra Cooling and A/C radiators: 26 7/32" wide x 19 1/4" high.

Super Cooling Radiator: 26 7/32" wide x 24 11/32" high

Thanks to martins2141 the push bar is setting out back waiting for a little TLC. Kingbee may be able to hook me up with a fan shroud, this site is great. Thanks to all the dedicated "ol" ford truck owners who keep this passion alive. Older is better, that's what I keep telling the wife.

D7TA-8146-FA is the ID number marked on the shroud itself (upper left hand corner), it is not the Ford part number.

See post 4 for the part number (also listed below) and applications and notice it's listed for a 351M only.

The Ford part number is: D7TZ-8146-B / Obsolete, not reproduced AFAIK

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any. But, is this the shroud you really want, since it's 351M only?
