I wanted to put together a Bilstein Shock reference guide for the members. The following are a list of available Bilstein Shocks for the 2009 & Newer Ford F150.
Bilstein HD Series (4600)
Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty monotube gas pressure shocks and struts are the ideal choice for most vehicles, including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability, without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for the driver who demands superior performance, while maintaining an exceptional street ride. (yellow paint, steel body)
Bilstein 5100 Series
Bilstein 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorbers are designed for front coilover style pickup suspensions. The monotube shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the shock body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0"-2.5" of front end lift, depending on application. Provides increased wheel travel and improved handling! (zinc-plated steel body, Triple-C-Technology coating)
Check out this thread, a lot of discussion between the too. From the people who have used both, the 5100 is the way to go. I have them on my truck and like the firmer ride, its a monotube shock and will provide much better performance offroad vs a spacer lift.
