horn button wire

I bought the parts to put the horn button back together on my 47. Does anyone know where the contact wire that is thread down the center of the steeering column comes out? I cant seem to find a hole anywhere.

Just to clarify, I mean where is the hole down on the steering column?

It runs right through the steering box and out the bottom.
