You only want to use a relocating bracket if a drop pitman arm is used. The goal is to keep your trac bar and drag link parallel for your steering geometry to be correct and not get bump-steer. If your axle is off center, then an adjustable trac bar should be used.

Now I think this a great topic and question and here's why: trucks with front leaf springs are the same as a vehicle with rear leafs. My that I mean, the leafs are kinda self locating side to side. The trac-bar is just there to keep the axle from moving side-to-side and causing bump-steer. So when I see guys disconnect the bar, install a leveling kit, then have to FORCE the axle to one side to get it to line up, that makes me think the axle is no longer located in the center of the chassis. Has anyone measured their axles diagonally before and after to verify the chassis is square? There's simply no way to lift the truck two+ inches and NOT have the axle sitting offset in the chassis as I see it, since the axle end of the bar is traveling in an arc as the axle moves up and down, it simply has to move it. Has anyone done a four-wheel alignment afterwards? I want to level my truck, but this is one of those things I want to know before I start blindly ordering parts.

This isn't anything new. That's exactly why larger lifts come with a drop trac bar bracket in addition to a drop pitman arm. Leveling kits should use an adjustable trac bar to accomplish the same (since they don't drop the pitman arm), otherwise the axle is off center.
