I didn't realize you were building a crew cab. Awesome work! Did you ever consider putting a window in, in between the doors instead of filling it with a metal filler plate?

Going to be 2 wheel drive? What engine and transmission? Any plans to get it on the road this year?

Yes, 2wd. The truck had a 272 V-8 with the 4sp sycronized trans (shifter on the floor).
The driveline might get changed later, we will see how this engine goes first.
I doubt it will be completely road worthy this year, but we shall see.

So keeping it somewhat original for now.
Did they ever make that style as a crew cab?

Somewhat....lol
Ford never produced a 4 door back then.
The railroad had 3 door truck built by outside vendors, but never 4 doors.
