Just whiz on down to the AutoClub or DMV and pay the registration fees. You have 10 days to register it, 30 days to pay the fees. Otherwise...penalty fees begin to occur. Not pleasant!
Regardless of how it is registered, it IS important for Andyf150xlt to know the truck's is physical configuration.

Btw ND, I noticed Fordification.net's Series Code look-up page was fixed. Was that your doing?

Yes, it is important for the OP to find out how it's configured, but what does that have to with registering the vehicle?

It's obviously a Frankenstein monster, with parts from 1976/79's and who knows what else swapped to the 1973.

I had nothing to do with Fordification fixing their Series code.

Nothing to do with registration...If one actually reads his original post, he needs help identifying the truck so he can order/retrofit parts.

Capiche?

The gas tank the in cab type and it has power steering and front disc brakes i believe the previous owners just switch the title and doors with a 73 and parted it together from some other trucks lol.

Im wondering if theres anyways other then door vin and dash vin witch is gone to ID it i have heard of the chasis vin but don't know if its possible to see it? Thanks for reading.

P.S id really like to know so i know which F350 Brake booster upgrade to get.
Here's the original post. Where does the OP make any mention of buying parts, other than a brake booster?

To me, he's more concerned about what year it is...thinks it's a 1979 F150 4WD. Meanwhile...the VIN decodes to a 1973 F100 4WD. And that's most likely what year it is, when one considers...

It has a 360, which was the only V8 factory installed in 1968/76 F100/250 4WD's. FE engines were cancelled at the end of the 1976 model run.

It has an in-cab fuel tank which was not available after 1977. Who would swap one a these into a 1978/79?

1973/75 4WD: Power disc brakes were obviously swapped in, since they weren't available until 1976 with 4WD.

Most likely the 1978/79 "fish mouthed" grille and "square" lamps (they are rectangular) were also swapped....which is somewhat common for peeps to do here on FTE.

Dunno which type of P/S it has, since the OP hasn't made mention of it since I typed my post listing the differences between Power Assist and Ford integral P/S.

Since CA smog tests all 1976 and newer vehicles, and this truck is registered as a 1973, he doesn't have to worry about smog, cuz it's exempt.

Verstanden?

As long as you get the right generation of truck, (sometimes not even then) the parts will interchange. There may be some small differences, but parts will go together. When I put my '77 cab and bed on an '84 Chassis, (Lots of work, they're not even close to fitting) I went from automatic to stick and used the clutch pedal assembly out of a '68 bump side. It bolted right in to my cab with no issues.

I've created some of these monsters that are now on the road, so I know you have to figure out what you have by looking at the parts, not the VIN.
