Pics or it didn't happen!
Some odd reason that reminded me of the time I saw, in Red Bluff CA, of all places, a prius with an Obama sticker parked right next to a Subaru Outback with a gay marriage sticker. Not my fault they live up to their stereotypes.
The truck had the top end completely redone in 2014, Bottom end has been done in the past few years, pistons were shiny, .030 over, front and rear end are solid, trac-lok works just fine in the back, no leakage after new diff cover gaskets. Brakes took some adjustment, now they work quite well. I had to fully rebuild the steering system a few times. The NP435 transmission shifts great and is nice and quiet, as is the NP205 T-case.
Here is an abbreviated list of parts I replaced:
mufflers
exh. manifolds
manifold gaskets
radiator
bed
fenders (thanks fellow FTE member)
PS pump
steering system rebuild
full wiring harness (again thanks to another FTE member)
paint
grille shell
grille inserts
brake MC
speedo cable
full interior replacement
heater controls
heater core
steering wheel
all electrical components
door seals
gas gauge
air cleaner
distributor
voltage regulator
coil
headliner
tailgate
oil pump drive shaft
and tons of other bits and pieces.
It is now my reliable daily driver. I put tons of miles on it. I drive it anywhere and everywhere and she ain't afraid of work or dirt. I use it often for a logskidder. Best part is I did every last bit of the work myself.
