2000+$'s later the chore tractor has two new tires. Don't ask what the big tractors tires cost, I've only bought six of them earlier this year and a set of skid loader tires..... And my truck neads new tires soon as well.
I think my tire guy thinks I'm his new best friend....
man the markup on them must be huge if hes your best friend now. most the time i can get them down to where they dont wanna do buisness with me again.
So after a long week of preparing the 101 for my trip, we can't get 2 parts here from Europe on time for tomorrow. So, yesterday I picked a different yacht and just filled up the tanks we are loading this afternoon and taking off in the am... It's a 88' Ferretti with 4 crew, at least it has a jacuzziAttachment 153853
This ones cruise speed is 23knots, I'll guess 140 gallons an hour since she has a 7'3" draft
I filled her up today, took about 2000 gallons she holds just over 2500 total.
Fuel is dirt cheap right now, paid $1.90 per gallon.
I will calculate during trip and repost, owner never runs at more than 12knots (he's conservative). I don't have the patience for that or I'd be sailing
First run tomorrow will be 165 miles Miami Beach to Nassau.
Lol. Did you get a slash in it? They seemed decent yet.
My tractor driving tractor is going to need new tires one of these years. I'm holding out as long as I can. I'm probably going end up waiting too long and have one leave me on the side of the road
35 year old tractor with 20+ year old tires (feedlot duty doesn't really wear them out) and the rubber dry rot's. The sidewall of the tire cracked pinching the inner tube which was full of the nasty calcium which exploded out of the size of the tire spraying everything including me (nasty stuff and instant rust) which was fun.
Just got the final bill from my tire guy and he treated me better than I thought, it was significantly under the list price..... Going to a radial tire was worth every single penny!!!!!

Might be half the speed of the other one, but uses about 1/3 the fuel.
