Looks like a granite tool that cuts out sinks for countertops.

Well it looks like some kind of drill press minus the drill bit. It seems to me that the counter top was just a leftover chunk that they thought would work well for the mounting press thing.

Well I'm glad you didn't kill anybody going that fast and doing so with your phone/camera out.

Maybe he had a gopro mounted to his head....lots of ways this can be done. No need to get preachy the instant someone takes a picture. Myself i have been known once or twice to do something that may have been a teensie weensie bit risky. Could well have been on an open riad with nobody around. There are still some parts of the country where you can go 2 or 3 miles and not see another vehicle. Heck Saskatchewan is known as the province where you can watch your dog run away for 3 days ;-)

This was done on a really remote road at 11:00 PM. Nobody around.
