I saw this pair last night leaving town.

At least it is tied down. I had a F350 drop a brand new (huge) refrigerator right in front of me at 70mph. Was it secured in any way? Yes, in no way. He converted his refrigerator into shrapnel. I was just lucky enough to get through the debris field without damage.

 

So to we have the Ford bean counters to thank for this?

No, you can thank the design engineers who went ahead and continued using the rear swinging doors on the supercab.
