.... Or maybe I'd have waited until "next year" to buy it altogether.

But it would be about another ten years before I would be driving anything, so it's kinda' moot.

After it cleared up.

One of the local news stations took an interest in the '56 Bel-Air

This guy took best Vette and Best in show, it's a '57 with all new running gear/suspension out of a newer ZO6

i replied you ruined a beautiful car by putting a pos engine in it.
a blind, one handed, retarded monkey can make a chevy 350 run and sound decent.
what would you all say if i put a 302 ford engine in a chevy?
they all got mad and left me alone for the rest of the show, which was fine with me.
I was at a car show a few years ago and I guy that know had a T-bucket kit car with a 350. I walked up and sitting beside his was a T- bucket with a 429! I didn't have a camera or even a cell phone then or I would have pics! It was beautiful! The guy said that he had to run no more than 15psi in the back tires just to move it.

Sorry, I keep screwing the pics up. At least it has a 460! It's my galfriend's uncle. He has several old ones. He's 81 and still goes to the shop every day. They do machine work, hydraulic hoses and he has a crew that restores vehicles. They do them for customers too.
