Pics or it didn't happen!
They would probably call the cops! The biggest problem with the young people is our schools. My daughter is graduating this year. She is 17 in her class. They make them use calculators in class. When I was in school they would fail you for using a calculator.
Somebody I knew was a wise guy, he ordered a stack of new crisp $2s, and had some kind of checkbook glue laminate thing and would fit them stacked nicely into the vinyl checkbook cover the banks provide. Guess it looked slick as hell, and he'd tear them off like checks to pay for stuff. I'm sure they hated him.
When I was in the .mil, one of the old timers told a story about some local Army base that (like most) had a complicated relationship with the surrounding town. Well the base commander had enough and got a wild hair and decided to illustrate just how much money they brought in. They were paid in cash in those days and - you guessed it - everyone on the whole base received their entire paycheck in $2 bills. There was no question in anyones mind after that how much they brought in
I used to wonder why when I went somewhere like McDonalds and the bill was, say, $7.31 and I'd give the girl $22.31 and she'd become all confused. Then more confused when her computer said that I was owed $15.00 in change. Then cranky because she thought I was ripping her off. Then amazed that I could do that math in my head so quickly. I mean I did it without even looking at my telephone, which is probably most amazing to any young person... people that actually use their brains are becoming fewer and fewer. IDK.
I have done the same thing.. had a $12 entrance fee... there was a sign posted next to the kiosk saying "we need $1's and $5's" Gave her $22 and she looked at me and said... "its only $12" I said yeah but you need ones...give me my $10 in change and you have your ones...
looked at me confused and did it...

I was under the understanding that this was done all over the country......
and this is where the $2 bill came from.......
In 1965 I worked for a division of RCA, and Fridays at noon we'd go down to the local bowling alley and cash our pay checks. Once-in-a-while the bowling alley cashed them in $2 bills, just to see how much we spent there, and if it was worth-while to continue to cash our checks.
They continued.

It was a great lesson in economics. Every time the kids spent $2 they could literally feel the cash in their hand shrink.
