Good morning Ontario. John, did you get the cab off yet? I've got the same problems with help, since I stopped stocking beer in the refridge. I think if you can jack it up and move the frame out from under might be the best. At least that's how I did the bed on my 79.

Good afternoon Ontario. George, forgot to mention. The truck is not rolling, unfortunetly. It's sitting on 4 jackstands at the moment. The cab is the last thing to come off the frame. I wont get to the truck until Monday now. I'm hungover from a self induced beer binge last night at our Legion branch 259 in Listowel, and tonight we have a Robbie Burns dinner and dance at the same place and I expect to be in worser shape tommorow than I am today. Thanks for asking, I have gotten some ideas from the other members of FTE in the general forums and I will give them a shot. I think I've got too much on the go with the truck and I should be concentrating on one thing at a time. That is a BAD habit with me. TOO many things going thru the head at the same time. Well, the Old Girl is on this Robbie Burns committee and we have to be at the Legion around 2pm, so until I get home tommorow, everyone have a great Sarurday. Popa John

Howdy John,
Looks like the yoke on the front diff pinion broke 1st (GM is saying it was defective, ya right) then the U joint broke & the the drive shaft started flopping around & put a hole in the oil filter allowing about 10 quarts of oil to fly out under pressure,
the only good part was the Onstar so I could get a tow truck up to Northern Quebec ........pics to follow, G
