So far it's great Don!
Everyone is healthy and we had a nice quiet evening yesterday. Just us and the kids eating in and watching the ball drop in NYC. Church this morning and out to lunch with the family.

John, sounds like a nice way to begin the new year.
I am taking it easy today watching some football and enjoying some leftover munchies.

Sounds great Neil. How was your New Year's Eve? We're not doing much this afternoon except for watching a little TV. It's getting colder outside and it's raining......good enough reason to veg out inside today.

John, we have an Artic cold front that is working its way through the area. 25 -35 mph winds with gusts up to 50. We are now under a lake effect snow advisory for tomorrow into Tuesday where in the persistent snow areas, we could see 8-14" of snow.

We had talked about going out to eat and to pick up a few things in a town we frequent about 40 miles north of here yesterday, but it was getting into the afternoon and we decided to stay home rather than risk running into the onslaught of drunks on the road.

I can understand that..
I had my reservations about traveling also, but we went..
She lives up in central NH and when we got close we ran into some black ice and fog..
Needless to say I had 4 wheel drive in on the way back..

Luckily for us, we've only had a few little skiffs of snow here and there and I haven't seen any ice yet. However, they're calling for some really crappy weather over the next few days and I doubt I'll be able to say that much longer.
