Well finally gotten body lift in.
Started like this today

And the process

Had to notch the front frame to bring the bumper to the right height

And body lift is in. Just need to figure out something for the rear bumper

Replaced my stained soggy carpet with a vynl one from the JY.
Started with this

Turned my truck inside out

Cleaned up the bare floor and painted one spot that had surface rust from the soggy carpet.

Installed the new to me rubber floor and gave it a cleaning

Then put the inside back inside the truck

Got a strip of rubber for the gap under the tailgate to atleast cover the frame

Also found out that The back of the drivers side head hits the firewall in reverse... Tine to get the hammer out.... And a block of wood or long punch...

looked today and this is what i found..... something looke a little off dont you think?

got the tensioner off that was being held on by the spring....the other half of the bole wasnt attatched...

pulled the bracket and oh look the rest of the bolt.....

got the rest of the bolt out and got tired of the mosquitoes for the night. gotta get 2 hose clamps for the airpump hose then i can put her back together again

Looking good man. I love the look after the lift. Keep up the good work. I need to get around to doing my lift and welding in my patch panels.

well i de smogged my motor and replaced the broken tensioner today. after 3 trips to the parts store i finally got the right belt length....

all the "extra" junk

the 5/8" bolts i installed after removing the thermactor piping.
i now have more clearance between the head ant the firewall so hopefully no more hitting in reverse...

found that a 3/8" pipe plug would work in the pipe to the exhaust.... threaded her all the way in with some sealant.

there lots more room. just gotta make ther last trip in to exchange my belt one more time... the parst person got the numbers backwards... i wanted a 6k965 they gave me 6k695..... way too short lol

I always liked the looks of an extended cab short box that's lifted like that. I agree that it makes it look not so long.

I like the extended can cause the seat goes back farther and I have room for my sub box in the back. I just leave the back seat folded down and layed a mat across the whole thing
