Talking Thinking about lifting my 1988

Hey all,
I am seriously thinking about lifting my truck and making it an off roading yet street legal truck. I would like to know how I should do this. I have a 1988 Ford F150 4x4 regular cab 5.0L 302. I am not sure of the current gear ratio there must be a way to find the gear ratio out. It is quite a bit lower in the front then the rear. I would say about 2 to 4 inches lower in the front. I would like to run 35/12.50R15 tires. I am going to run BF Goodrich T/A KOs I won't run the General Grabber AT2s they suck my dad has them on his 2002 F250 and he keeps getting stuck with them where as he has BF Goodrich KOs on his 1986 and it does perfectly fine. Anyways, will my 302 power this size tires and what size lift should I go with? Am I going to have to lift the front more then the rear. I would show a pic of the diffrence but it just doesn't show it yet. I want NO(not yelling just trying to make sure you notice this) cutting of the fenders or bumper if I have to cut I am not going to do it. I am not wanting to have to go over 6inches of a lift. I got more options I want to put on but don't need any help with those. Thanks in advance,
Trav

If your a serious off-roader their are many things to consider. A 4 cylinder engine could push 37's it just has to be geared correctly. To find out your axle code just look inside the door jam where is says "axle" What rear end ratio is in my Ford , do I have positraction? - Drivetrain.com

I would go with skyjacker:Homepage / Skyjacker Suspensions
Recommend you buy a kit with extended radius arms and lifting leaf springs not blocks

Best offroad tire: TSL Bogger | Interco Tire

Ya well I changed my mind on doing this. My truck is the one that hauls the hay and I seriously don't want to have to throw bales of hay 6 inches higher. So disregard this thread.
