Well it is much easier after you do it because the fear of a trashed brackett haunted me,winter coming,so anyway heres as far as I got before i got WIFED.
Sorry bout that lack of info, its a old TSB from ford to upgrade from single weaker style tensioner pulley to a 99-03 style dual that has less leverage acting on it and better bearing life in idlers,in fact in the days of warranty on these trucks it was a free switcherooo from ford according to TSB ,missed that by 15 years! I dont remember tsb # but I found it on here and powerstrokenation.com and researched it heavy before I dove in, glad I did it now though.
So basically, all you have to do is cut off the ONE idler pulley mount? In that first picture it looks like there is two of them, maybe its a mirror image?
I got it in and it fixed the prob I had with water pump pulley having the belt ride to the rear lip up on edge of pulley and feathering belts,it also is WAY WAY tighter ( it has the square for a 1/2" breaker so better than stock 15mm nut to rotate spring up)than my old P.O.S stock ford single, and all the squealing and chirping I had is gone ,it was so annoying I'm glad to hear the engine now!. I cant really get pics on engine due to too much stuff in the way but the only real mods are two relatively simple cuts on alt brackett.
