whats the story here? Its pretty cool but i feel the grill is a little outta proportion with the rest of it. Also, would Ford really build a 3/4 ton bronco?

Someone doesn't like your links Njneer. I would buy that Bronco first day it was available. Only it the top still came off. They could do that and have a factory roll bar set-up to appease the tree huggers.

No they wouldn't. What they would do however is extend the taurus platform, beef it up in places, delete two doors slap some 4x4 badges on it, and call it a bronco.

Is that really fords future plans? I remember seing the bronco that was shown at a car show a few years back that thru back to the early years powered by a small turbo diesel..but i guess they eventually said "no" to production

Not offically but that is just how ford does things now. They are not in the business of building True SUV's anymore. The new explorer is built on the taurus platform. The new Escape (never really a true suv) now looks like a bloated focus. Ford is building cars for the Europeans now, rather than building trucks for Americans.

thats true in some ways, most auto manufactures have started to lean twards european styling and appeal. On the other hand i think the trucks have stayed as true as possible to the blue collar americans. never the less they will never build them like they used to.

Look at what they did to the Explorer, look at what they did to the Ranger. It won't be long before we see it in our trucks.

All the better reason to keep these old beasts on the road! I think Ford should have offered the Bronco in 3/4-1 ton all along with a diesel opion since 83 hence my sig lol. That pic would make a great Bronco if it had a removeable top and Ford still ofered a manual trans option.
