Evaporator Flange Size

My truck is equipped with the high low vent and I have the evap housing already there, just need to add the necessary parts to make it work.

I can, but mine looks pretty much like the bottom two pictures in Mike's post (less the rust LOL). Unless you are talking about the fittings at the compressor too? Which mine is different in that I am using a serpentine belt set up from a 90's F150 and an FS10 compressor.
EDIT: Since the lines for the FS10 are connected to a block that attaches to the back of the compressor I had to come up with a way to attach my hoses. So I took the factory block and used a tubing cutter to cut the metal hoses and then had the proper #8 and #10 male insert o-ring fitting welded on so my new hoses could easily be attached.

Jsutton would you happen to have a pic of the hoses connecting to the evap?
I'm not all that knowledgeable on the a/c system, so seeing it helps me understand how it all works.
Mike thanks for the help as well, is there a certain part # for the thermostat for a 79 model f150?
And where can a guy buy a new evap other than LMC for a decent price?

Dang Bill, I am gettin' slow. I came up with the same info but hadn't posted it yet. I was looking at aftermarket suppliers too.
The evaporator that I have in the pictures was made by Omega Enviromental Technologies in Houston, TX. I liked it because it is a copper core not aluminum and I paid $157.00 for it. I went back to their website and punched in the p/n. It still lists it but it has the note "currently unavailable". This is the same problem I have with other aftermarket numbers I've tried. Unavailable, discontinued or it's just not listed at all.
I know LMC lists them for around $300 which I think is rediculous....untill I looked at the Ford list/cost prices....ouch!
D5TZ-19860-A (YK-54) List $543.70 Dealer cost $271.85
I don't know where LMC is getting their's from but I'd like to find out.

Man these prices are nuts.
A JY would be the next step, but on something like this I'd rather have new.
I never checked, but does bronco graveyard carry anything like this?
I checked eBay last night, you can find expansion valves all day long, but I couldn't find one evaporator.
They even have the thermostat like mike posted but that's all I could find.

Thought I'd save you the trouble.

Most likely from a A/C parts supplier and I'll betcha it's a "universal fitz-all."

Obsolete parts of this vintage were "written off" years ago, so the dealers have nothing invested. Call and when the price is quoted, if you don't like it, make an offer.
If not accepted, chisel some more.

I came across this today, the evaporator is $168.00 "BUT" it says "call first", I figure that's another way of saying "not available".
