Need a new radiator in my '93
The radiator in my '93 had a leak that got progressively worse. I pulled it yesterday and took it to a good local radiator shop. He called today and said it wasn't worth fixing cause it would probably start leaking again real soon. I can get a replacement OEM copper radiator for $305 and a new Spectra aluminum replacement for $250. I've read a lot of guys are switching to aluminum and the guy at the radiator shop suggested aluminum but I wanted to get yall's opinion.

hey we had the same issue with the 15+ yr old stock units.i on the other hand, payed the 50 bucks to patch it up for a bit to keep on working the truck until i had time to swap it.worked good for a few weeks too.replaced her before she sprung another hole though luckily.

whatever you decide, get one with the lifetime warranty so you'll never buy another one.it's costly enough so that once is plenty.

Good luck with that. I bought and replaced my second lifetime guaranteed radiator today in my 90 model F350. The first one I bought about 6 or 7 years ago. It blew the top out of it a couple days ago. I tried to get it replaced under warranty only to find the company is no longer in business. So, I bought another lifetime guaranteed radiator for it today from Advance Auto. Hopefully when this one blows they will still be around.
