06, 4.6L 100K mile service recomendations

Hello all. Well, our 06 F150 SuperCrew 2WD is nearing 100K miles.
I am planning having the plugs changed and the trans flushed. Any other recommendations that I should do?
Truck is used as a commuter and is driven very easy. I bought it at 94K miles with a clean Carfax; 1 owner and no wrecks. It is spotless and very clean.
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Don.

coolant, flush the coolant. depending on the maintenance cycle of the previous owner and your budget, you could do quite a bit to ensure you keep your truck running. With the coolant flush, check all your hoses and replace any that might neet to be. How's your serpentine belt? Battery? Brake System? Exgaust system? Just for staters.

I echo wallace on the coolant drain-flush.

Be careful with the tranny fluid change. Once was told not to do it after 75K miles not do have it flushed so what i did was pull the pan draining the fluid, pull the filter filter, then start the engine, place it in drive for just 2-3 seconds then in park and shut down.

What this does is remove the last little bit of fluid etc.

I got about 170K miles out of my plugs and never notifed any loss in performance, fuel usage etc. It's an easy job in the 4.6, but a MAJOR pain in the **** for the 5.4T.

If you replace the plugs, get them from Auto-Zone. They'll give you the same Motor Craft plugs at half the price of the dealer!

Why rely on just opinions (ours, the dealer's, your brother-in-law's)?

Ford publishes owner's manuals and maintenance guides for a reason.
