We lost one to Canada!

On Friday 12/23/11 At The Blaine WA US/Canada Border crossing at about 11:30am I spotted an early 70's ford pickup with canadian plates pulling a 1966 f100 custom cab 2 tone paint turquoise/white on a flatbed trailer. The 66 had washington license plates. It was parked at the vehicle inspection area and some canadian customs guys were looking it over. I then saw them hand over the papers and saw both trucks enter Canada. I hope the Boys from the great white north take good care of her. OH CANADA!

Well you can probably be pretty sure if someone goes to all that trouble to obtain a vehical. It will probably be around for a while and should be well cared for.

We lost one to Canada!

It's happened before, my F250 CC came across at Blaine WA in 2004 from Lynwood WA. It's been lovingly, but slowly, rehabed ever since, and will soon see the road again in its original colour and 352.
It may be cold but that only slows us down slightly. Jeff

Let you ask you a question... Was the bed of the truck a different color?

The whole truck was the same color. The truck looked real straight but needed work. the 70's truck pulling it was a baby blue color. sound familiar to anyone?

As long as they aren't being shipped to Mexico or overseas...I'm all for keeping these old trucks going in Canada too. Canadians rock.
We have this cocky idiot here in my town with a big bankroll who is buying up older VW vans and sending them to Germany where they
restore them and ship them off all over Europe and Asia.

He even offered me a "finders fee" to spot them from the air with our helicopters...I told him flat out that I thought he was a terd and
disagreed with what he does.

Personally, I like to see them on North American roads, restored to their former glory, or just plain driven like they were made to.
One guy on the site here recently, shipped his California buddy's car over to Australia who had passed away...now that is an exception...that's just
plain awesome.

For what it's worth...MHO.

The last two trucks I sold went to Canada. I live close to the border, so it makes some sense, but over the years I've noticed that the Canadians seem to like the bigger trucks more than the Americans do, and those are the trucks that I'm interested in. I know this isn't about the slicks, but if it helps, my first truck was a 65 and I'm looking at a 65 f 100 flareside shortbed next week. Here's the two old timers that are now singing 'Oh Canada.'
